Working in Partnership for greater communities.
We are proud to be working in partnership with the Horncastle and District Health and Wellbeing Fund. The fund enables us to work towards achieving our mission to bring growing to vulnerable communities in Horncastle. By developing a community growing space, Horncastle in Bloom will be able to use this funding from HWF to support the work of local social prescribers working with people who are struggling with their mental health. The funding will also enable us to work with disability groups, bringing the joy and health benefits of working outside in nature to become a part of their life journey
As a part of the Horncastle in Bloom initiative, we are so pleased to have the support of many local businesses.
Whilst developing the phase 2 Community Allotment Plot, we are so lucky to have had donations of woodchip, wooden panels, pallets and paving slabs. We've also had donations of tools and wellies!
Something which was starting to prove a little more elusive was a community shed/ hub.
We're very grateful to the Laurels Service Station on Boston Road who are holding a raffle on our behalf. The top prize is a rather large easter egg. Tickets are only £1 each and will help us towards our target of a vital structure for the community to use.
