Horncastle is a small market town in Lincolnshire, which opens up the gateway to the Lincolnshire Wolds. An historic market town, which dates back to the Roman town of Banovallum. Horncastle still has elements of the old Roman town, as well as the horse markets and other outstanding historical features.

Horncastle also boasts a rich horticultural history. Sir Joseph Banks- the renowned historical botanist, whose local country estate still exists at Revesby, also made  Horncastle his home. As such Horncastle can lay claim to and celebrate the rich and diverse flowers, plants and herbs brought back from his global travels. The preserved existence in the town of the old dispensary, as well as Sir Joseph Bank's town house makes Horncastle a perfect place to celebrate and bring back blooms to the community.
